Description

I wanted to try the same setup and technique used for planetary nebulas on small and relatively faint galaxies, so I imaged the second, less famous, galaxy triplet in Leo with my Celestron 6 at F6.1 (915 mm) with 5s exposures.

Considering the rather shoddy transparence of the night and the limited overall time integration, the result is definitely positive.

A 17.38 magnitude galaxy, PGC1414181, can be barely glimpsed to the right of M105 and NGC3384, about halfway between them.

Also, PGC1410257, of magnitude 16.79, can be glimpsed near to the upper left corner, and one third of the way from NGC3389 on the line between it and NGC3389, more similar to a fuzzy star, PGC1410893, of magnitude 17.36 .
